Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues (biopsy samples), bodily fluids, and in some cases the whole body (autopsy).

Pathology is the medical discipline that provides diagnostic information to patients and clinicians. It impacts nearly all aspects of patient care, from diagnosing cancer to managing chronic diseases through accurate laboratory testing.

A pathology test is a test that examines samples of your body's tissues, including your blood, urine, faeces (poo), samples obtained by biopsy. Doctors use this information for diagnosis and treatment of diseases and other conditions.

Radiology is a branch of medicine, which utilizes various imaging methods (X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI) to diagnose (radiodiagnosis) and treat (intervention radiology) the diseases. It has greatly evolved from its early days of X-rays to the present day of modern radiology, to become the backbone for treating physicians and surgeons. It helps in early diagnosis of the disease, thus helping in initiating early treatment.
